Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Blaine Boring Chocolates is committed to protecting your privacy.
Except as described below, we will not disclose your personal information outside of our company without your consent. When you sign up to receive notices of sales or special event e-mails, we collect information, including your name, address, e-mail address, and phone. If you choose to make a purchase, we will ask for additional information, such as your credit card number and billing address. In order to speed the processing of orders, you will be given the option of signing in with an e-mail address and password, which you may create. It is your responsibility to keep this password confidential.
For credit card processing, our banking and fraud detection service may use aggregate data to help detect fraudulent uses of credit cards. We may access or disclose information about you, including the content of your communications, in order to: (a) comply with the law or respond to lawful requests or legal process; (b) act on a good faith belief that such access or disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our employees, customers or the public.
We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access.
When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number or password) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
Blaine Boring Chocolates is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. If you have questions regarding this statement, you should contact us at (814) 539-6244.
